Position Summary

Vista is hiring a Compliance Analyst to join its Compliance team. This is a generalist role and the candidate will have broad exposure to a wide variety of compliance-related topics and areas including, but not limited to, compliance training, compliance testing, and designing and implementing policies and procedures. This individual will (i) have an active role in identifying and mitigating compliance risk, (ii) foster a business-oriented compliance function, and (iii) help the organization embrace a culture of compliance. This role will support the Compliance team across business units and the candidate will gain exposure to private equity, credit, and hedge fund strategies. The position can be based in Austin, Oakland, or New York.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing and maintaining a best in class compliance function for Vista, which will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assisting in the drafting, updating, and revision of Firm policies and procedures
  • Performing regular email review and surveillance, as well as weekly, monthly, and annual testing to detect potential regulatory violations and ensure compliance with regulations and Firm policies
  • Supporting the Compliance Manager in conducting the firm’s annual compliance review
  • Performing anti-money laundering and anti-corruption diligence reviews and supporting AML/KYC processes
  • Assisting with marketing materials review, including fund-related materials and presentations used in fundraising, firm events, and conferences
  • Supporting preparation and submission of regulatory filings
  • Providing compliance oversight and support in the voting of proxies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in private equity, private credit, and/or hedge fund compliance or operations preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management, organization, and project management skills. Ability to own projects from start to finish with great attention to detail
  • Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint, and developing and maintaining various analysis and reporting tools
