Position Summary

Vista Equity Partners (“Vista”) is seeking to hire a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Associate Director of Information Governance.  In this role, this individual will be responsible for the development and operationalization of firmwide records and information, while driving technology enablement initiatives within firm-wide records, data, and content projects focusing specifically within the legal and compliance business group. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both business processes and technology solutions, coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

 

This individual will have a diversified background of IT, operations, regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial services experience, demonstrated project management acumen and excellent vendor management skills, be a strong people leader, in addition to a holistic, service-oriented approach to business relationship management. Proactively serving as a “trusted advisor,” this individual will bring first-hand experience, unique perspectives, and functional knowledge to deliver tailored integrated solutions that help the Legal and Compliance teams meet their business objectives.

 

This role is located in New York, NY and is for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

  • Drive planning and execution of high-profile regulatory projects for Legal and Compliance to that supports the Firm’s Risk Assessment methodology, presenting actionable proposals to C-level management.
  • Maintain accountability for project performance, cost management, scope control, schedule adherence, risk mitigation, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the legal, regulatory, and business requirements and translate them into tangible deliverables that support records, data, and content management objectives.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of technology solutions to enhance records management, data governance, and content lifecycle management capabilities.
  • Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT management to develop annual budgets across all relevant platforms and functions.
  • Partner with technical team to provide guidance on best practices for data management, information security, and compliance within the legal and regulatory landscape.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to data management policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on relevant technology platforms, tools, and methodologies, staying abreast of emerging trends and innovations in records management and data governance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT management to troubleshoot issues, implement system enhancements, and support ongoing maintenance and support activities.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials to promote awareness and adoption of new policies, business processes and technology solutions among end-users.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory and business transformation roles supporting legal and compliance, with a focus on records management, data governance, or content management.
  • Proven experience leading business and technology enablement initiatives and managing complex projects from conception to implementation.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and selecting technology solutions, including document management systems, content collaboration platforms, and data governance tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Possess a broad knowledge of technical and business acumen and use that knowledge to effectively coordinate team members and external resources.
  • Knowledge of project management tools used for individual project plans and overall program management.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $170,000-$225,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed and the applicant’s skill set.  The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
