Position Summary

The Marketing Communications team at Vista Equity Partners is responsible for spearheading all marketing and corporate communications initiatives on behalf of the Firm. This team plays a pivotal role in shaping and conveying Vista’s brand message, both internally and externally. The team manages internal communications to ensure cohesive and effective information flow within the organization, while also orchestrating external campaigns that enhance Vista’s market presence and engagement with stakeholders. Through strategic planning and creative execution, the Marketing Communications team supports the company’s corporate strategy and objectives, driving the Firm’s visibility and reputation.

 

Vista is looking for an experienced video producer to be a trusted marketing partner to our Firm. Reporting to the Director, Marketing Communications, who oversees Brand & Digital programs, the Associate Producer will collaborate closely with senior executives and a diverse set of stakeholders to develop video content to be used across Vista’s marketing channels (internal and external). This role provides an opportunity to build and scale a video capabilities function within the marketing organization of a dynamic investment firm, while working with and learning from a team of marketing professionals dedicated to advancing the Firm’s growth.

 

This role is based in Austin, TX and is for an immediate start.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire production cycle of video content – from concepting (in partnership with various stakeholders) to scripting and creative direction, agency and project management, etc.
  • Create and manage a project plan and associated budget for all production costs and expenses.
  • Oversee video shoots, whether in person or remote, to ensure professionalism of all team members, appropriate content capture, talent prep, coordination of schedule(s), etc.
  • Coordinate with content leaders across marketing team and Firm to ensure video content aligns on needs and content/integrated marketing plan.
  • Provide edit direction to agency partners, with in-house editing done as needed.
  • Keep all stakeholders on schedule throughout production cycle to ensure timelines and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Manage relationship with agency partners to ensure consistent quality of deliverables, budget adherence, professionalism and innovation.
  • Serve as video program’s asset manager, tracking usage rights and maintaining a library of captured content.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in film, media, management, production or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience working on film sets or as part of a production team; experience in professional or financial services preferred.
  • Strong content development capabilities including strategic narrative development, creative direction and visual support, messaging and editing.
  • Expert-level proficiency of leading video editing programs (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut, etc.) and production tools (Riverside remote recording platform, for example); experience with recording tools (cameras, lighting, sound) to self-produce, as necessary, is a plus.
  • Skilled project manager with the ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously; experience working with external agencies and resources to execute and drive project goals.
  • High-level of independence, energy and integrity; track record of effective collaboration and relationship building with internal stakeholders, event organizers, agencies and other third parties.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex topics and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; experience working in highly regulated environments is a plus.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Proactive execution, speed, agility and the ability to influence and lead change.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with basic financial services and/or enterprise software/technology industry sectors with preference for direct experience in these fields.
  • Ability to travel with peak seasons of travel 30% or more.
