Senior Manager, Fund Finance

Vista Equity Partners is seeking to hire a Senior Manager of Fund Finance to join our evolving team and support reporting and compliance needs of Vista’s private equity funds. The role will have direct responsibility for one or more Vista’s private equity funds and will be a key contributor within the finance and accounting team.  

The role is offered fully remote (although the hire will be able to work in any of Vista’s offices in Austin, Chicago, New York or San Francisco if preferred) and is for an immediate start.

• Provide oversight of the Fund Finance team including the planning and execution of essential workstreams, encompassing capital activity, quarterly reporting, regulatory compliance filings, and audits
• Support the management and coordination of our third-party fund administrator to ensure timely deliverables and drive process enhancements
• Manage the planning and execution of the annual financial statement audits in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Review of capital calls and distributions prepared by third party fund administrator, including review of investor allocations, distribution waterfall (if applicable), notices and ILPA templates
• Coordinate with valuations team to deliver quarterly valuations to our third party fund administrator for quarterly reporting
• Review of quarterly closing workpapers (including accrued carried interest calculation and NAV), financial statements, partners’ capital account statements and ILPA fee templates prepared by third party fund administrator
• Detailed review of waterfall calculations prepared by third party fund administrator to ensure compliance with the related partnership agreements, including setting up parallel model if needed
• Monitor cash activities on a real-time basis when there are capital calls and distributions and assist with transfer of capital to the management company for reimbursement of partnership expenses and management fees
• Assist with preparation and review of deliverables required for drawdowns on the funds’ subscription lines of credit and compliance with the lenders, including, but not limited to, preparation of borrowing base models, certificates of status and draw requests
• Review of expenses being allocated to the funds on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with the related partnership agreements and accurate allocation across funds in compliance with the Firm’s expense allocation policy
• Coordinate with third party administrator and the Vista Tax department regarding tax provisions for quarterly reporting
• Collaborate with Investor Servicing team on investor support including providing responses to various information needs/requests
• Review of net cash flows, fund statistics and other fund-related data for performance reporting and quarterly reports delivered to Limited Partners
• Assist with and manage compliance filings in coordination with Vista’s Compliance team
• Ad Hoc projects

• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on fund accounting/reporting experience in a private equity firm or a combination of public accounting and a private equity firm that is fast-paced, complex & growth-oriented organization. Big 4 experience preferred but not required
• A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• Must have previous managerial experience including team leadership, development and resource planning
• Excellent communication, partnering, presentation and influencing skills
• Strong analytical skills, great attention to detail, expert modeling and spreadsheet capabilities
• Ability to manage multi-project workload within tight deadlines through strong organizational and planning skills
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Base salary range is 185K to 210K, plus 40% bonus
