Position Summary

As a Talent Management Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and retention of high-performing investment professionals across our Private Equity platform. This role is ideal for an HR or talent professional with 3–6 years of experience who is energized by the opportunity to work closely with leadership, support strategic talent initiatives, and help drive business outcomes through people-centric solutions.

 

You will collaborate with cross-functional HR teams, including Learning & Development, HR Business Partners, and Recruiting, to design and execute programs aligned to the investment team’s career growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be analytical, collaborative, and thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.

 

This role is based in Austin, TX and is for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Development, Performance, & Engagement
    • Partner with team leaders and HR stakeholders to implement talent initiatives focused on career growth and progression, building development plans, talent reviews, and employee engagement for investment professionals. Manage the logistics, communications, and data collection for performance reviews, calibration sessions, and development planning.
    • Track and report progress on individual development plans and cohort-specific initiatives (e.g., analyst programs, career coaching).
    • Help prepare talent dashboards and reports to support decision-making.
  • Learning Strategy, Training, & Execution
    • Coordinate tailored learning experiences in partnership with the L&D team, including technical, leadership, and soft skill development opportunities.
    • Maintain training calendars, registration processes, and post-program feedback analysis to inform future improvements.
    • Support onboarding and integration efforts for new hires, including lateral and campus investment professionals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Serve as the HR liaison to the Private Equity team, ensuring consistent messaging, policy compliance, and impactful communication planning.
    • Assist in coordinating firm-wide initiatives such as offsites, mentorship pairings, executive coaching engagements, and internship programming.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in HR, talent management, or learning & development, preferably within financial services, professional services, or high-performance environments.
  • Strong understanding of investment talent workflows and expectations in a private equity or asset management context is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion, poise, and professionalism.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Workday or other HRIS/LMS platforms is preferred.
  • Proven track record of balancing detail-oriented execution with strategic thinking and adaptability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence outcomes.
  • Travel is required for the role
