Responsibilities

Vista Equity Partners is on a fast-paced growth trajectory, with assets under management exceeding $100 billion. As the firm scales its investor relations, fundraising, and marketing capabilities, the Investment Technology team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support its operations.

This is an individual contributor role sitting within Vista’s Investment Technology team, with a dedicated support remit across the Marketing teams, Capital and Partner Solutions (CAPS), and Private Wealth. The Business Analyst will serve as a day-to-day owner and subject-matter expert for the marketing technology tools and platforms used by these groups and will partner closely with both business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, support system configuration, drive adoption, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

This individual will play a hands-on role in enabling Vista’s fundraising and marketing teams to operate effectively by ensuring that the MarTech stack, workflows, and data they depend on are well-maintained, continuously improved, and aligned to business goals. The ideal candidate brings deep familiarity with modern marketing technology platforms, a strong AI and automation mindset, and the analytical rigor to translate data and business requirements into scalable solutions. They are organized, a clear communicator, and eager to grow within a dynamic and high-performing organization.

MARKETING TECHNOLOGY (MARTECH) OWNERSHIP

  • Own Vista’s marketing technology stack, including email marketing platforms, campaign management systems, content management systems (CMS), marketing automation tools, and digital analytics solutions; serve as the primary subject-matter expert across these platforms.
  • Administer MarTech platforms day-to-day, including user provisioning, system configuration, data hygiene, audience segmentation, and vendor relationship management.
  • Serve as the go-to resource for marketing team enablement, including platform training, adoption programs, and troubleshooting across the MarTech ecosystem.
  • Maintain a comprehensive MarTech tool inventory; track platform contracts, SLAs, and renewal timelines; and proactively identify consolidation or optimization opportunities across the stack.
  • Coordinate with the technology team on integrations between marketing platforms and core infrastructure, including Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, and other data systems to ensure seamless data flow and campaign execution.
  • Support data segmentation and audience management within Salesforce Data Cloud, partnering with marketing and technology teams to build, maintain, and activate audience segments that drive targeted investor and prospect outreach.
  • Leverage AI tools and automation platforms, including Claude and Claude Code, to accelerate campaign workflows, streamline data processing tasks, and identify opportunities to embed intelligent automation across the MarTech stack.

FUNDRAISING SUPPORT

  • Maintain accurate CRM data across investor and prospect records, pipeline tracking, and fund activity.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Salesforce to support pipeline visibility and management.
  • Prepare data-driven materials and analyses supporting investor outreach and fundraising campaigns.
  • Identify workflow gaps and partner with technology to improve or automate fundraising processes.
  • Partner with investor relations and distribution teams to translate business needs into system improvements.

BUSINESS ANALYSIS AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

  • Gather, document, and prioritize requirements from fundraising and marketing stakeholders.
  • Produce user stories, process maps, and functional specs to support technology delivery.
  • Conduct UAT for system changes, ensuring solutions meet business needs before deployment.
  • Track and report on KPIs for the MarTech stack and fundraising operations, flagging issues proactively.
  • Support change management and training as new tools and capabilities are deployed.

COLLABORATION AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

  • Build strong working relationships across the fundraising, marketing, and investor relations teams.
  • Partner with the broader technology team on initiative prioritization, delivery, and operational support.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders on project status, issues, and upcoming changes.
  • Actively contribute to team meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an intellectually curious and organized individual who is eager to build expertise at the intersection of financial services, technology, and marketing. They are a self-starter who takes ownership of their responsibilities, communicates clearly with business users, and brings analytical rigor to every task. They are comfortable navigating ambiguity and working across teams in a fast-paced environment. Critically, this individual brings a strong AI and automation mindset — they are naturally drawn to using tools like Claude and Claude Code to work smarter, move faster, and continuously improve how the team operates. Beyond technical capability, this individual brings the interpersonal qualities that matter in a high-performing team environment. They are collaborative, low-ego, and self-aware, with a natural ability to build trust and credibility across a diverse set of stakeholders. Strong cultural alignment with Vista’s values and team dynamic is essential.

  • Two to five years of experience in a business analyst, operations, or technology support role, preferably within financial services, asset management, or a related industry.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing technology platforms, preferably including Salesforce and Salesforce Data Cloud; experience with marketing automation tools such as Marketo and Cvent is a strong plus.
  • Strong familiarity with the modern MarTech landscape, including email marketing, multi-channel campaign management, marketing automation, audience segmentation, digital analytics, attribution modeling, and content management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements, document user stories or functional specifications, and support technology delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience building reports or dashboards in tools such as Salesforce, PowerBI, Sigma, or Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical business users.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, marketing, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated AI and automation mindset, with hands-on experience using AI-powered tools such as Claude, Claude Code, or similar platforms to drive productivity and process improvement; experience building or maintaining automated workflows in a business or marketing operations context is a plus.
  • Experience in or exposure to private equity, investment management, investor relations, or wealth management is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and appropriate handling of confidential and sensitive information.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $85,000 - $120,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
