This is a high-visibility role with broad exposure to leadership and to all parts of the CAPS platform, well suited to a versatile, organized and proactive professional who enjoys variety and wants to grow into a deeper specialty over time.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a generalist partner to the entire CAPS Strategy & Operations team, supporting the Data, Analytics & AI; Strategy & Operations; and Investor Relations workstreams, and flexing to wherever the team’s priorities and capacity needs are greatest.
  • Build high-quality presentations and decks for internal leadership, team meetings, offsites and investor-facing use, translating data and complex topics into clear, concise and polished narratives.
  • Draft and edit written communications, including summaries, briefings, status updates, process documentation and talking points, for the CAPS leadership team and across Vista.
  • Support project management for team initiatives: scope work, maintain plans and timelines, track tasks and owners, run follow-ups and surface risks and decisions early, using the team’s shared project tracker.
  • Capture, map and document the team’s processes and workflows, and maintain playbooks, procedures and role documentation so work is repeatable, transferable and easy to onboard into.
  • Perform analysis in Excel and related tools on fundraising, pipeline, investor and operational data, and turn the results into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with the data, analytics and AI team members to support CRM, reporting and dashboard needs, including requirements gathering, data quality checks and user testing.
  • Support sales strategy and operations efforts across both Institutional and Private Wealth Solutions, helping converge processes and reporting where it makes sense.
  • Assist with investor relations activities, such as investor communications, reporting, events and ad hoc investor requests, working with the IR lead.
  • Prepare materials and follow-ups for team meetings, check-ins and cross-functional working sessions, and keep team priorities visible and current.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automate manual work and apply AI tools to team workflows.
  • Take on temporary or ad hoc assignments as needs arise across the team, and build working relationships with coverage, product, finance and technology partners across the firm.

Qualifications

  • Typically 3-6 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, investment banking, investor relations, business analysis or a related field; level (Associate or Senior Associate) based on experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to senior audiences.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with a proven ability to build clear, polished, well-structured decks quickly and with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical acumen, with advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets, CRM and reporting tools (experience with Salesforce or similar a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to capture, document and improve processes, including writing clear procedures and process maps.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize and track multiple workstreams, drive follow-through with colleagues and manage deadlines under pressure.
  • Highly collaborative, flexible and proactive; comfortable supporting a team with varied needs and shifting priorities, and taking initiative without being asked.
  • Strong organizational skills and judgment, including the discretion to handle confidential information; views no task as too small and approaches every assignment as an opportunity to learn.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI and automation tools, and for applying them to day-to-day work.
  • Interest in the technology sector and in private markets or asset management is preferred; experience in financial services, fundraising or investor relations is a plus.
